July 27, 2020
The 15 finalists of the 2020 CADA Laureate recognition program have been revealed.
The announcement from CADA, in conjunction with the program’s exclusive sponsor, iA Dealer Services, arrives later than usual due to the pandemic.
“We are pleased to announce, after an extension was granted due to COVID-19, the names of the finalists — all of whom were selected by an independent panel,” said Tim Reuss, CADA President and CEO.
In an interview with CADA Newsline, Reuss said the finalists represent an outstanding group of dealers from various regions across the nation. The finalists are divided into three groups, with five finalists in each of the three categories: Ambassadorship, Business Innovation, and Retail Operations.

The next stage of the process is the selection of the three CADA Laureates by the Ivey Business School at Western University in London, Ont., which will take place in a few weeks. The winners will receive their Laureate jackets at a special dinner to be held in their honour.
“Discovering who the Ivey Business School panel will select to be the three
winning Laureates is always an exciting moment — but perhaps more so this year, due to the pandemic,” said Reuss. “The selection, organization of the Laureate dinner, and presenting the winners with their Laureate jackets will be a welcome sense of normalcy during an unprecedented time — and one we certainly look forward to.”
CADA will announce the three Laureate winners in a video release in late August.
The CADA Laureate award is the most exclusive recognition a dealer can receive over the course of his or her career. Only three individuals among more than 3,200 new car and truck dealers across Canada are recognized annually.
iA Dealer Services has been the exclusive sponsor of the Laureate program since its inception in 2005.
